    Perfect! Definitely Recommend
I have lupus, which (for those who don't know) leads to periodic flares where all my joints are inflamed and painful. I'm also a writer who spends hours at a time typing. I've triedknitfingerless gloves, which don't provide any support and expose too much of my sore fingers, and also some medical compression gloves that are made of neoprene--those made my hands sweat so badly because there was no air circulation AT ALL. These gloves, however, are perfect, offering just a little compression to soothe sore joints, nice retention of warmth while also being breathable (no stank-hands from sweat!), just enough exposure of the fingertips to make typing or using a touch-screen effortless, and the little bit of texture on the palms gives excellent grip. I have bought multiple pairs of these as gifts for just about everyone I know who has arthritis or any other condition that leads to pain in the hands. Cannot recommend them enough.

    I Can Finally Knit Pain-Free!
I have bought a pair of these every fall for over 15 years. They work wonderfully for me and really help the pain in my hands when I use my phone, tablet and keyboard. I wear them for about an hour at a time, give my hands a rest and then put them back on. Sometimes I sleep with them on if the weather is really cold. The only draw back I know of is they can be easy to lose if you lay them down and forget about them-wash them in the sink, don't put them in the laundry. I always order a size medium although by the measurements I should wear a small. That was the first size I ordered and it was too much compression for me. I have also tried cheaper gloves but ended up buying another pair of Happy Hands because the other pairs always have inside seam issues that are very uncomfortable. Best arthritis gloves you can get!!

    Goodbye Arthritis and Carpal Tunnel
As a classical guitarist I've tried several compression gloves to help my arthritis and carpel tunnel issues -- not to play in, but to help with recovery after practice and to generally help me stay flexible. I wear these at night primarily as often I would wake up with my hands tingling or very sore. Being mostly cotton these are so much more comfortable (other's made my hands/wrists hot and itchy after an hour or so) and the fit of the XL is perfect for my wide hands providing just the right amount of even compression. Also, the wrist extends almost an inch further than some I have tried which really helps calm down the carpel tunnel issues in my left hand. (Another brand I tried was so loose on the wrist it was worthless in that regard, yet was tight on my knuckles.)

Faqs

Frequently Asked Q&A

Can I wear these while typing, knitting, or doing detailed work?

Absolutely! The fingerless design gives you full dexterity for typing, knitting, crocheting, playing instruments, using your phone, gardening, woodworking, and any task requiring finger mobility. The exposed fingertips let you feel what you're doing while the compression supports your joints.

How do I know which size to order?

Measure your hand width across the knuckles (excluding thumb). Small fits up to 3 1/8", Medium up to 3 1/2", Large up to 4", and X-Large over 4". Many customers recommend ordering one size smaller than the chart suggests for optimal compression. When in doubt, the snugger fit provides better pain relief—they'll stretch slightly with wear.

How long can I wear them each day?

You can wear Happy Hands gloves all day if comfortable. Many customers wear them for several hours at a time during activities, then give their hands a rest. Others sleep in them to prevent nighttime stiffness and pain. Listen to your body and adjust as needed.

Will these make my hands sweaty like other compression gloves?

No! Unlike neoprene or synthetic gloves, Happy Hands are made from breathable cotton-blend fabric that allows air circulation. Your hands stay comfortable and dry, not clammy or overheated—even after hours of wear.

Can I wash them?

Yes! Hand wash in cold water and air dry to maintain elasticity and fit. Some customers carefully machine wash in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle, but hand washing extends the gloves' lifespan. A few minutes in the dryer can restore snugness if they stretch over time.

Will these help with carpal tunnel, not just arthritis?

Yes! The compression and wrist support help with carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, repetitive strain injury, neuropathy, poor circulation, hand swelling, and general joint pain. The gentle pressure promotes better blood flow and reduces inflammation.
